Jason Day will have a rematch with the man he beat in the 2015 final as the World Golf Championship Dell Matchplay begins in Austin, Texas tomorrow night, Australian time.
Day, the world No.11, won that final comfortably on his way to a world No. 1 ranking, and has made a strong start to 2018 after a winless 2017 season.
The Australian also had Jason Dufner and James Hahn in his group when the brackets for the 64-man field were announced today.
Marc Leishman has a tough draw with Branden Grace and Bubba Watson plus the last man in the field, Julian Suri in his group.
Queenslander Cameron Smith is in a group with Japanese superstar Hideki Matsuyama (4), Patrick Cantlay and another Japanese player, Yusaku Miyazato.
Smith is ranked No. 50 in the world and as such, will get a start in the Masters in a fortnight at Augusta National if he can hold his ranking.
The cut-off point is at the end of this tournament, putting extra pressure on Smith to make sure that he gets through the group stage.
The format of the WGC matchplay was changed to round-robin several years ago, meaning that players get a guaranteed three matches within their groups on Wednesday and Thursday before the tournament goes to a knockout format.
